The front disc brakes are on today. I wanted disc brakes all the way around the car. The front discs are a cougar conversion. Along with the purchase of the car was the front suspension and brakes of a 68 cougar. I cleaned up the spindles, bought new cross-drilled and slotted rotors, and exchanged the calipers in for some new single piston calipers from the local Autozone. I think with the core trade in the calipers were something like 12 bucks. Everything was painted in high temp paint and they were finally installed today. I am putting on some 1" drop springs and a 1" sway bar as well. In the future there will be a coilover system instead, probably from TCP. The disc brake conversion will have cost me probably less than $300 for the 4 disc set up. Also once I get the car on the road I plan on upgrading the rear suspension as well, and that will probably be a Heidts four link rear coil over.
